Data Acquisition Solutions
Embla digital amplifier systems offer configurations for clinical and preclinical data acquisition. You can collect data using our lab-based, portable or ambulatory systems or by using your own analog amplifiers. Telemetry (DSI), edf-formatted and text formatted data can also be imported into Somnologica Science.

Embla N7000 Designed for clinical applications, the Embla N7000 offers an extensive array of referential, bipolar, respiratory and DC level inputs for routine and extended PSG studies. Offers full 32 channel EEG with up to 60 total channels/inputs.

Embla A10 This 16-channel system is designed for clinical and preclinical applications. Interface options for recording multiple animals maximize channel utilization and offer superior signal quality. The A10 can also be used in clinical ambulatory applications. For lab-based clinical needs, please refer to the N7000 or S4500.

Embla S4500 Designed for clinical applications, the durable, reliable, and easy to use, the S4500 records up to 24+ channels along with 8 isolated DC Channels.

Embletta A pocket-sized clinical system for use in the sleep clinic, hospital, or home. Using USB technology, Embletta downloads a full night's study in less than 3 minutes. With its advanced diagnostic features, the Embletta offers cost effective, high quality solutions for diagnosing sleep disordered breathing, limb movement, and sleep/wake. Several interface connectors (proxies) are available to configure the Embletta to your specific clinical needs. Add additional proxy configurations to enhance the clinical utility of the Embletta.

Developers
For registered developers, we also offer a framework for writing plug-ins for Somnologica. This package is called the Software Development Kit (SDK) for Somnologica and also includes a C++ library, as well as Matlab routines, which allow the user to read and write .ebm files (the Embla file format). A number of sleep laboratories have used this option to create their own signal analysis methods. Contact us to learn more.

Sensors and Accessories

Shop the complete line of Embla Sensors and Accessories for your data recording needs. Visit our sensor section for more details. Quality sensor solutions include:

XactTraceT
The XactTraceT Respiratory Inductive Plethysmography (RIP) sensors provide highly reliable respiratory effort signals. Advance signal processing capabilities create the following derived traces online. For ambulatory applications, these traces are derived offline.

Xsum- Summation of XactTrace values of abdominal and thoracic movements

Xflow- Semi-quantitative measure of inspiratory and expiratory flow derived from abdominal and thoracic movement

Respiratory Mechanics Instability (RMI) - measure of desychronization of the breathing pattern

Phase- The measure of syncronization between the abdomen and thorax

Respiratory Rate- number of breaths per minute

Rodent Electrode Supplies
Rodent Electrodes supplies include 6-lead (3-channel) rodent electrode cable sets for use with your own system or with the 16-channel Embla A10 digital recorder. Coiled electrode screws help ensure a good quality contact for the implanted leads.
